I forgot my password

Ensure you have updated the VAYA Africa app and click on forgot password.A link will be sent to you via SMS.

I want to update my account settings

To update your name, email, phone number, and password:

1. Select “Profile” in the main app menu.
2. Tap the information you want to change.
3. Make your updates and click save.

How Do I Tell My Friends about VAYA

Open the VAYA Africa App and click on top left menu icon.Select “Invite Friends” and get your unique referral code. Send invites to your friends on your selected platform and $5 will be credited to your VAYA account.

Can I take a ride to another city?

No, VAYA Mobility is only for intra-city destinations.

How safe am I in a VAYA?

You can share your trip with your family and they can see wherever you are at one point. Our drivers all have police clearance and VAYA vehicles have a GPS tracker.

How to request a ride.

  • Enter your destination address in the “Drop at” box, or tap a shortcut icon at the bottom of your screen. Shortcuts include recent destinations from your ride history or custom “Home” and “Work” you can set in your app
  • Your default pickup point is set to your current GPS location. If you are not being picked up at your current location, tap your pickup location on the map and update the address
  • Use the slider at the bottom of your screen to toggle between available vehicle options (for example, VAYA Basic or VAYA Executive).
  • Tap “Request Now.” You may be asked to confirm your pickup location.
  • Wait for a driver to accept your request.
  • When your request has been accepted, you’ll see your driver’s location on your map and an estimated time of arrival at your pickup location.
  • You will also see driver details like name, vehicle model, reg number and a photo of the driver
  • Your app will notify you when your driver has arrived at your pickup location

I can't request a ride.

If you can’t request a ride, it could be because:

  • You have an outstanding payment.
  • There aren’t any drivers in your area at this time. Please wait and try requesting again.
  • You haven’t confirmed your email or phone number. Please keep trying.

Can I pre-book my rides?

Yes you can do a pre-booking over the VAYA Africa mobile App on your phone.

What modes of payment do you allow on VAYA?

We allow all forms, Ecocash, Cash , VISA and Mastercard Payments
When a trip ends, the payment method selected for your trip is immediately charged. A receipt is emailed to you.

How much time do I have before I cancel a trip?

You have at-least two minutes before you cancel a trip for any reason before you can be charged.

What happens when a driver fails to turn up?

Kindly cancel the request and try again.

What emergency service do you have?

We have VAYA Ambulance and VAYA Specialist services especially for towing cars that will have broken down.

VAYA Premium

Ride hailing service for between one and 4 people in a vehicle of their choice.

VAYA Ambulance

Is an emergency rescue service where customers who may come across health challenges that require immediate attention or hospitalization request an ambulance and the nearest ambulance goes to their scene and takes them to the nearest emergency center.

VAYA Express

VAYA Express offers a unique service experience which combines speed, affordability, convenience and a personal touch. Through a unique network of professionally trained service providers connected to customers via an integrated mobile based platform, we are able to provide unparalleled delivery service door to door.

VAYA Van Delivery

VAYA Van Delivery is the ideal option for the delivery of special shipments or large parcels or goods which cannot be delivered by small utility bicycles and motorbikes.(1 Tonne to 5 Tonne) Utilizes small vans to deliver parcels door to door to people’s homes. All parcels can be tracked on the app until they reach their destination. The customer is contacted prior to delivery.

VAYA Truck Delivery

VAYA Truck is the delivery option for larger shipments (7 Tonne to 12 Tonne) The customer can access optimum sized vehicles right from their mobile app.

VAYA Tractor

VAYA Tractor allows farmers to deploy mechanization technology by ordering a tractor through a VAYA Africa mobile app. This enables them to use the farming asset on a pay per use basis without having to borrow funds to invest in the equipment.

VAYA Clean City

VAYA Clean City is for customers who require to have waste in their local areas or dumpsites collected and disposed for them.
