Nestle’ Zimbabwe together with Dicomm McCann successfully developed and launched the Nestle Cerelac with probiotics campaign to raise awareness and educate Zimbabwean mothers on the benefits of good bacteria (probiotics) that had been added in Cerelac and the right way to prepare it.
Initially when this campaign was developed, it was meant for Zimbabwe, a highly restricted market where one is not allowed to show babies in infant food advertising. Despite these limitations, the team at Dicomm McCann was still able to come up with something that was able to connect with the hearts & minds of the mothers whilst getting recognition throughout Africa. The campaign was so successful it was eventually adapted for other markets like Kenya, Ethopia, Malawi, Zambia and DRC.
It’s humbling that our campaign has been getting recognition across Africa including being featured on Marketing Mag Africa, a platform for marketing professionals and promoting the marketing industry in Africa. We look forward to greater things and sharing Nestle Zimbabwe’s passion in baby nutrition.
